DEMOLITION ( : 11Clr1 ADJOURNMENT TO DATE CERTAIN I MINUTES ARCADIA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY REGULAR MEETING MAY 9, 1978 The Arcadia Redevelopment Agency met in special session on May 9, 1978 at 7 p.m. in the Conference Room. PRESENT: ABSENT: Members Gilb, Margett, Pellegrino, Saelid, Parry None ( Staff advised on the types of proposals received for the removal of all improvements from 215-223 E. Huntington Drive. Five were received for the removal of structures - alternate #1, remove all structures except metal buildings and alternate #2, removal of all structures. Also received was a single bid to purchase the metal buildings. It was recommended that two awards be made - one to the low bidder for the demolition and one for the purchase of the metal structures. It was MOVED by Member Gilb, seconded by Member Margett and carried on roll call vote as follows that a contract for Alternate #1 be awarded to Hintz Wrecking Company in the amount of $5,100 and that the bid to purchase the metal structures be awarded to Ralph Thorsen in the amount of $400 ; that all other bids be rejected; that any informalities or irregularities in the bids or bidding process be waived and that the Chairman and Secretary be authorized to execute the contracts in form approved by the General Counsel; further that an amount of $5,100 be appropriated from the Arcadia Redevelopment Agency Funds to pay the cost of demolition and that the Executive Director be authorized to execute the necessary documents in form and content approved by the General Counsel to secure the funding for the demolition contract.
