HomeMy WebLinkAboutJANUARY 26,1960 I ROLL CALL RESOLUTION No. 3214 11'l))J;:.AJ:Jl CITY CLERK I :l.11DEXED /^vI ~ r ADJOURNMENT 04834 MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 26, 1960 Pursuant to the order of adjournment of the regular meeting of the City Council of January 19, 1960, the City Council of the City of Arcadia met in regular adjourned session in the Council Chamber of the City Hall at 7:30 P.M., January 26, 1960. PRESENT: ABSENT : Councilmen Balser, Phillips, Reibold Councilmen Camphouse, Jacobi The City Attorney presented, explained the content and read the title of Resolution No. 3214, entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING, CREATING AND ESTABLISHING TAX DISTRICTS WITHIN SAID CITY." The City Attorney added that this is the same type of resolution adopted by the Council January 6, 1959 and is for the purpose of establishing the various portions of the city, including Annexation No. l7-A and No. 19 (Revised) within the various tax districts, which districts must be established and recorded with the Board of Equalization and the Assessor's and Tax Collector's offices prior to February 1st. Motion by Councilman Phillips, seconded by Councilman Balser and carried on roll call vote as follows that the reading of the full body of Resolution No. 3214 be waived: AYES: Councilmen Balser, Phillips, Reibold NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmen camphouse, Jacobi Motion by Councilman Phillips, seconded by Councilman Balser and carried on roll call vote as follows that Resolution No. 3214 be adopted: AYES: Councilmen Balser, Phillips, Reibold NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmen camphouse, Jacobi A discussion was held regarding the necessity in the City Clerk's office of temporary clerical assistance at the present time; that the current budget does not provide for such coverage. Mayor Reibold and Councilmen Phillips and Balser expressed themselves as being of the opinion that such assistance is needed. The City Manager commented that since salaries are budgeted up to the end of the fiscal year, the amount to be appropriated for such clerical assistance be held pending the time when the entire amount is ascertained, at which time a transfer to the City Clerk's account of a definite amount can be requested and authorized by the Council.
