A discussion was held regarding the necessity in the City Clerk's office
of temporary clerical assistance at the present time; that the current
budget does not provide for such coverage. Mayor Reibold and Councilmen
Phillips and Balser expressed themselves as being of the opinion that
such assistance is needed. The City Manager commented that since salaries
are budgeted up to the end of the fiscal year, the amount to be
appropriated for such clerical assistance be held pending the time when
the entire amount is ascertained, at which time a transfer to the City
Clerk's account of a definite amount can be requested and authorized by
the Council.
