The City Council and the Arcadia Redevelopment Agency met in an
Adjourned Regular session at 7:00 p. m., March 15, 1988 in the
Arcadia City Hall Conference Room.

Councilmember Chandler and Mayor Pro Tempore Harbicht were appointed
to the Foothill Transportation Zone as Member and Alternate, respectively.
Advice letters will go forward on MOTION by Mayor Gilb, seconded by
Councilmember Young and CARRIED.
SUPPORTvi' Council approved support of Los Angeles County's proposal to initiate
a Commuter Service on the Santa Fe Railroad. Letter to go to the
County.

\;1 The City Manager explained the substance of a communication sent in
reply to an inquiry concerning development of the northeast corner of
First Avenue and Huntington Drive. The inquiry related to a project
which the Redevelopment Agency felt was not of the quality which would
warrant subsidizing the project. Counci1member Lojeski commented on
Council being aware of what is transpiring.

Discussion held on the Tribune Building which has been condemned by
the City due to damage brought on by the earthquake. Staff advised
that letters have been submitted to the owners of such buildings ...
some building permits have been issued.
