CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
and the
ARCADIA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
JUNE 7, 1988
The City Council and the Arcadia Redevelopment Agency met in an
Adjourned Regular session at 7:00 p.m., June 7, 1988 in the Arcadia
City Hall Conference Room.
PRESENT: Counci1members Chandler, Gi1b, Lojeski, Young and Harbicht
ABSENT: None
Public hearings were scheduled for June 21, 1988 for two items on
the regular agenda:
11(a) Proposed Operating Budget for Fiscal-Year 1988-89.
11(b) Consideration of T.A. 88-001 to amend the subdivision
ordinance to:
1. Establish minimum lot width for R-1 and R.M zoned corner
lots of 85'- 0".
2. Change Section 9113.6 relating to modifications on
tentative maps and tentative parcel maps to provide
for approval by the Planning Commission.
3. Amend Section 9115.12 relating to time extensions for
tentative maps to be consistent with the State Sub-
division Map Act.
In response to'a question from Council based on the application of
the moratorium ordinance on the regular agenda, the City Attorney
stated, in part, that if someone already had an application in the
building department and it is determined that the project would have
a vested type of right, such as the shopping center at Huntington
and Santa Anita -- the liquor store is being replaced and they some-
what have a vested right there in the construction. They intend to
have a liquor store open in that same location. Other than this
present situation, if an emergency moratorium ordinance is passed
and a building permit application is in, that project would be
subject to the moratorium, although it could be exempt based on
the perspective uses, if Council so determines.
The City Manager requested a Closed Session.
The Council then entered the CLOSED SESSION at 7:10 p.m., reconvened
and adjourned sine die at 7:30 p.m.
