PRESENT: Councilmen Haltom, Hannah, Pellegrino, Lojeski ABSENT : {ouncilman Dring On MOTION by Mayor Lojeski, seconded by Councilman Haltom and carried Councilman Dring was excused. Arrangements were made for a preview tour of the 9-1-1 Center for Friday, October 21 at 8:30 a.m. Council will also look at the Home- tels hotel. Received the invitation from the Acapulco Restaurant for the Council and their wives to have dinner to celebrate its 10th anniversary at the Arcadia location. Council received the Summary Report of Programs from July 1, 1982 through June 30, 1983, and the Balance Sheets and Consolidated State- ment of Revenue and Expenses through June 30, 1983 from the HOY Com- munity Cl inic. On MOTION by Mayor Lojeski, seconded by Councilman Haltom and carried a communicaclOll will be directed to the School Board to the effect that the City is not interested in acquiring some residential school property that is up for sale by the District. Received information Santa Anita Avenue. but would like to be on the disposition of the Forestry property on Council did not have any objection to the sale placed on bidding list in order to keep apprised. The City Attorney advised on the HUD requirements in the A9reement on the Senior Citizen Housing project at 645-663 Naomi Avenue. It was es- timated that the escrow connected herewith will close by the end of the month. The City Attorney stated he will approve Agreement as to form, so the Mayor may sign October 19, 1983. Council received an Emergency Plan for disasters. Copies to be direct- ed to the Red Cross and the National Guard. The Assistant City Engineer/Water Manager was congratulated on the work just completed on the resurfacing of Santa Anita Avenue from Colorado Boulevard to Camino Real. Staff will check into the original formation of the Historical Commis- sion to ascertain representation on the Commission from the Arboretum. Staff will check and report back on the property maintenance of com- mercial buildings. Staff advised that the Kiwanis Club will be painting the Bonita School Youth Hut.
