HomeMy WebLinkAboutDECEMBER 6,1983 CITY COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS ARE TAPE RECORDED AND ON FILE IN'THE OFFICE OF'THE CITY CLERK 25:0844 I ROLL CALL OLYMPICS ~ ~J AGENDA ITEMS ,. ~ ~' ) ADJOURNED I M I NUT E S CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA and the 'ARCADIA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 6, 1983 The City Council and the Arcadia Redevelopment Agency met in an adjourned regular session at 7 p.m. December 6, 1983 in the Arcadia City Hall Conference Room PRESENT: Councilmen Dring, Hannah, Pellegrino, Lojeski ABSENT: Councilman Haltom Councilman Haltom was excused on MOTION by Councilman Dring, seconded by Councilman Hannah and carried. Council reviewed the tentative draft of a proposed Special Tentative Permit for the Olympic Games. It is anticipated that the Olympics will bring numerous requests for various activities and promotional events which may be inconsistent with the Municipal Code. Council expressed agreement with the report and the City Attorney will pre- pare the final draft of an appropriate ordinance for Council review. Council explored the agenda items to be considered at the regular meeting to convene at 7:30 p.m. this date. In response to an inquiry the Chief of Police explained the need for the purchase of three police patrol vehicles as recommended; the Fire Chief also explained his request for new paramedic ambulances; and 'as suggested by Councilman Hannah the $25 fee proposed in connection with the Use-Agreement for the city owned parking lot by Albert Yank, Worldwide Bloodstock Agency will be deleted. (All these items will be before Council in the regular meeting.
