PRESENT: Councilmen Dring, Haltom, Pellegrino, Lojeski ABSENT: Councilman Hannah On MOTION by Councilman Pellegrino, seconded by Councilman Haltom, Councilman Hannah was excused. On MOTION by Councilman Dring, seconded by Councilman Pellegrino and carried on roll call vote as follows Bardella Mason was appointed to the Parking Place Commission to fill out the unexpired term of' Paul Mnoian to June 30, 1984. AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Councilmen Dring, Haltom, Pellegrino, Lojeski None Councilman Hannah Staff responded to questions by Councilman Dring concerning an agenda item relating to the construction of a TCE/PCE Removal Plant and request for an additional engineering fee appropriation. (This item will be before Council at the regular meeting this date) Craig Lucas, Chairman of the Arcadia Olympic Commission explained in detail an opportunity which has been presented by the United States Olympic Commission --- to participate in the sale of tickets for a show to be put on in the Pasadena Civic Auditorium by Proctor & Gamble. The local Commission would receive a certain percentage from the tickets it sells. Mr. Lucas said authority from Council should contain conditions - no public funds to be used - no liability on the part of the city and - funds received will go to the benefit of the Arcadia community including promotion of the Olympic events to be held in Arcadia. It was MOVED by Councilman Pellegrino, seconded by Councilman Haltom, and carried on roll vall vote as follows that the Commission be autho- rized to proceed along the lines of the proposal which has been presented to Council and reviewed by the City Attorney.
