PRESENT: Councilmen Haltom, Hannah, Pellegrino, LOjeski ABSENT: Councilman Dring Councilman Dring was EXCUSED on MOTION by Mayor Lojeski, seconded by Councilman Haltom and carried. Councilman Hannah read a communication from Councilman DrinQ to the effect that his business would prevent him from attending this meeting. He is in San Francisco. (Contents of this letter will be recorded in full in the minutes of the regular meeting to convene at 7:30 p.m. this date.) Scheduled a public hearing for May 1, on Text Amendment 84-2 to amend Section 9267.1 of the Arcadia Municipal Code relating to the review and approval procedures for land uses and development in the M-2 (Heavy Manufacturino) Zone. / Communication from City of Sierra Madre concerning its interest in closing Chantry Flats Road. A meeting will be scheduled with the cities of Sierra Madre, Arcadia, Monrovia, the Forest Service and County representation to try to resolve the problem on Chantry Flats Road. Staff advised of a correction in figures contained in an agenda item (No. 3f Consent Calendar) relating to consulting services in connection with a proposal by Daniel Benson on the 1984 Transit Consultant Services proposal... the total contract cost should be $14,200 rather than the $17,000 indicated in the original report. This will be included in the minutes for the regular meeting to convene at 7:30 p.m. this date. The agenda for the regular meeting will include an item for "Audience Participation". This was inadvertently omitted. Mayor Lojeski advised of the illness of the Mayor of Newcastle, Australia, and that its Council met in an emergency session to name the Deputy Lord Mayor as the official Mayor of Newcastle. Telegrams have been directed to both officials. ' On recommendation of Mayor Lojeski Council scheduled a public hearing for May 15 on Planning Commission's recommendation for denial of Modification 84-35 relating to property at the northwest corner of Lovell Avenue and Naomi Avenue. The City Clerk responded to Councilman Haltom's inquiry in connection with a communication from Mrs. Johanna Hofer regarding the holding of the election in the City Hall public hallways and lobby rather than in the Council Chamber.
