PRESENT: ABSENT : Councilmen Dring, Haltom, Pellegrino, Saelid, Gilb None On MOTION by Councilman Saelid, seconded by Councilman Pellegrino and carried on roll call vote as follows the request of the Arcadia Music Club for waiver of the admissions tax for the forthcoming 1981 Santa Anita National Horse Show to run from June 26 through July 5, 1981 was approved. Profits will go to support the non-profit organizations, Ar- cadia Music Club and the US Equestrian Team. AYES NOES ABSENT: Councilmen Dring, Haltom, Pellegrino, Saelid, Gilb None None On MOTION by Councilman Dring, seconded by Councilman Pellegrino and carried , unanimously permission was granted for the Chief of Police to contact the Director of the County Arboretum in connection wil illegal parking by non-handicapped persons in the 'handicapped only area' at the Arboretum. County resolution necessary in this instance. On MOTION by Councilman Pellegrino, seconded by Councilman Haltom and carried unanimously staff is to proceed with the original boundaries of the territory which the City has been requested to annex. This is in response to a request by a property owner adjacent to the original territory that additional territory be included. Request that the City provide street sweeping service to the private streets in the Whispering Pines Estates. The Director of Public Works reported on the estimated costs. It was MOVED by Councilman Pellegrino, seconded by Councilman Saelid and carried unanimously that staff proceed with the necessary requirements to provide the requested services. , Some discussion held on the code regulations for political signs. Some discussion held on the continued need for the Project Area Com- mittee. This will be an agenda item for June 2.
