HomeMy WebLinkAboutJULY 7,1981 I I CITY COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS ARE TAPE RECORDED AND ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK ROLL CALL CLOSED SESSION 25:0323 MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING JULY 7, 1981 The City Council of the City of Arcadia, California met in an adjourned regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. July 7, 1981 in the Conference Room. PRESENT: ABSENT : Councilmen Dring, Haltom, Pellegrino, Saelid, Gilb None Staff explored agenda items which will be considered at the regular meeting to convene at 7:30 p.m. this date. Staff also submitted an information only item concerning modification of left turns on Baldwin Avenue at Duarte Road. And a summary from Fire chief Gardner concerning the July 4th activities. Chief Gardner elaborated on this as did Police Chief Mitchell on activities in the County Park and all other public areas. Attention was called to the forthcoming meeting of the West San Gabriel Valley Association of Cities, A meeting with the School Board was tentatively scheduled for July 28 at 7 p.m. This will be checked out with the Board. Larry Hoffman, architect for the Hughes Market about to be constructed on the El Rancho Market site, responded to questions concerning this forthcoming project, The Finance Director responded to questions by Councilman Dring con- cerning insurance items on the agenda. The Water Manager also answered questions concerning an agreement for sale of water to the Southern Cal- ifornia Water Company. Councilman Haltom drew attention to a typographical error in the minutes of June 18 ... The cost of modification of pump control panels for emergency generators at the Santa Anita and Canyon Booster Stations should read $4,400 not $14,400. The City Clerk will make the correction.
