PRESENT: Councilmen Dring, Haltom, Pellegrino, Saelid, Gilb ABSENT: None The City Council scheduled public hearings on the following items: Request for variance to permit the use of a trailer as an office at 11911 Clark Street (Chicago Park area) DECEMBER 15, 1981 Appeal of Planning Commission denial of the tentative map of Tract No. 29290 for a two story commercial condominium at 610 N. Santa Anita Avenue - DECEMBER 15, 1981. Appeal of one of the conditions of approval of a conditional use permit at 1032 S. Sixth Avenue - JANUARY 5, 1982. The City Manager advised that the report on the petition concerning public safety response for residents on Foss Avenue-will be forth- coming as soon as staff hears from LAFCO, The Director of Recreation reported on a lighting problem which necessitated the cancellation of the adult slo-pitch softball Leagues. Discussion held on the resolution adopted by the City of Los Angeles concerning the use of tax monies, It was the consensus that it would be appropirate for the Council to take similar action. Whereupon the following resolution was adopted on MOTION by Councilman Dring, second- ed by Councilman Pellegrino and carried on roll call vote as follows: BE IT RESOLVED: That the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors be requested to take immediate action to comply with the recent decision of the Los Angeles County Superior Court prohibiting the County from financing municipal- type services provided County unincorporated areas with tax revenues received from Los Angeles County cities and to end this unequitable system of taxation and not prolong it through costly court appeals paid for by County taxpayers, AYES NOES ABSENT: Councilmen Dring, Haltom, Pellegrino, Saelid, Gilb None None Agenda items were explored and at the request of Councilman Dring one of the scheduled items under Consent Items concerning race traffic con- trol expenditure will be considered individually.
