ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
MAY 18, 1982
The City Council and the Arcadia Redevelopment Agency met in an
adjourned regular session at 7:00 p.m. May 18, 1982 in the City Hall
Council Chambers.

Councilmen/Members Dring, Haltom, Hannah, Lojeski, Pellegrino

Agenda items for the regular meeting to convene at 7:30 p.m. were
explored. Also, communications received: (1) American Legion relat-
ing to their fireworks display and stands. The display has been
scheduled for the race track grounds; (2) Post card about the audio-
visual department in the Library; and (3) A response from the Economic
Coordinator concerning regulations of construction on holidays. This
latter in response to an inquiry from Councilman Lojeski. Self-insurance
Health Plan - to be discussed on Saturday during the budget session.
Scheduled public hearing on the proposed operating budget for 1982-83
and on the revenue sharing budget for June 15, 1982.
Discussion held on the contents of the proposed ordinance regulating
fireworks stands. The number of stands' was a point of interest. The
ordinance reflects nine for the American Legion this year, and eighteen
was submitted for a total number of stands. Requirements of each vendor
were explained.
The Planning Commission recommendation for a moratorium on the issuance
of permits for game machines was discussed. Councilman Hannah noted
this latest recommendation is contrary to the action taken by the
Commission and approved by the Council at its last meeting. This item
is on the agenda for consideration at the regular meeting this date.
Reference was made to a flyer advertising a tournament involving game
machines - games of skill - with prizes awarded. The City.Attorney
will send a letter advising the company of the City's regulations.
ADJOURNMENT The meeting adjourned sine die at 7:30 p.m.
