The parking situation relating to the 'Arcadia PreSbyterian ,Church 121 Alice Street will be explained in a staff report and presented to Council on August 3. The parking problem concerning Plant Time at 229 S. First Avenue will be placed in a report and brought back to Council on August 17. CONDITIONAL. Some discussion held on the conditional use pennit request of Anthony's USE PERMIT Oeli at 1212 S. LOJESKI ,/ 25 :0537 M I NUT E S CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA and the ARCADIA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING JULY 20, 1982 The City Council of the City of Arcadia and the Arcadia Redevel- opment Agency met in an adjourned regular session Tuesday Julv 20, 1982 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Conference'Room. PRESENT: Councilmen/Members Dring, Hannah, Lojesk, Pellegrino ABSENT: Councilman Haltom It was MOVED by Councilman Hannah, seconded by Council~an Drin9 and carried unanimously that Councilman Haltom be EXCUSED. It was MOVED by Councilman Hannah, seconded by Councilman Dring and carried that a public hearing be scheduled for August 17 on a modification matter at 315 W. Le Roy Avenue. It was MOVED by Councilman Hannah, seconded by Councilman Lojeski and carried that Mrs. Edith Casey be reappointed to the Sister City Commission for a four year tenn (to June 1986). Council accepted the resignation from the Planning Commission of Morris L. Hegg with regret. It was noted that the newly appointed Historical Commissions will soon be meeting in order to draw lots for designation of tenns. The request of Marianne Hopkins for Council consideration of an arcade in Fashion Park will be taken under advisement - thereby providfng an opportunity for staff to prepare a report on what has previously transpired when requests were received for similar fa- cilities [n Fashion Park. It was also noted that staff is prepar- ing a recommendation on conditions to be imposed on such arcades. Council received an invitation from the Sister City Commission to attend a dinner in honor of Joan May, Newcastle, Australia - Sister City Commission Chairman of Newcastle and also an Aldennan there - Sunday, August 1 at 6 p.m. at Lawry's California Center. In response to an inquiry by Councilman Lojeski the Planning Director said in part that it is possible that parking requirements could change with small car parking spaces. -1- 7-20-82 COMMUNICA- TIONS CITlZEN RESUME' ....., '" ~_....-. ,J , 25 :0538 Councilman Lojeski felt librarian Domney should receive commendation for bringing in his budget for 1981-82 below the figure budgeted. He was advised that the fire deficiencies at the Rio Hondo Preparatory School had been corrected. Letter received from Mrs. Rebecca V. Ceja asking that her name be re- moved from a petition requesting Council to consider the annexation of Michillinda Park area. Council acknowledged receipt of a Citizen Resume' from Emil Amato expressing interest in being appointed to the Planning Commission.
