PRESENT : ABSENT : Councilmen/Nembers Dring, Haltom, H3nnah, Lojeski, Pellegrino None The City Council entered a CLOSED SESSION at 6:00 p.m, Reconvened at 7 p.m. Discussion held on the possibility of placing a measure on the April 19, 1983 ballot, at which time the School Board will have an election. The measure would seek a vote on whether or not to combine the school and city elections and change the date of elections to November in odd- numbered years beginning in 1983, The City Attorney to prepare an ordinance for Council consideration on November 2. Council will have the opportunity to review agenda items prior to a meeting with the School Board. (The Board has requested such a meeting and made sugges- tions as to subjects to be discussed.) Consideration of guidelines to staff for General Plan review and revision. ~This will be brought up again in November. , The request of the local Chamber of Commerce for permission to use the City Seal on its Fact Book and Buyers' Guide. It was approved providing the Council has the opportunity to review it prior to publication. Consideration of the Resolution of Inducement relating to a project pro- posed for the Ramada Inn site and a change was made to indicate its ter- mination on September 21, 1983. Council scheduled a public hearing for October 5 on the decision of the Modification Committee in its approval of modifications for an office building at 230 East Foothill Boulevard. This was scheduled on a NOTION by Councilman Dring, seconded by Councilman Haltom and carried. v It was the consensus of Council that hereafter all recommendations relat- ing to award of contracts for projects include in the report the budgeted amoun t. This meeting will await the return of Councilman Hannah who will be out of the City most of October. At Councilman Lojeski's request, a report will be prepared concerning saiety at Newcastle P3rk.
