Reference was made to one of the public hearings scheduled for the
regular meeting his night - that of the appeal filed to the Notice
and Order to correct a substandard condition at 758 Anoakia Lane.
It was noted by a communication received from Mark McCaslin asking
that the appeal be withdrawn and that steps will be taken to apply
for a conditional use permit for the lawful use of the Anoakia Lane
gate. He noted serious accidents which have taken place on Baldwin
at the entrance and suggested several alternatives to the use of the
Anoakia Lane gate. During this consideration Ed Daniell, 777 Anoakia
Lane, asked that this be heard in public hearing proceedings at the
scheduled time during the regular meeting to convene at 7:30 p.m.
Council concurred.
Reference waS made to another item listed as No. (a7) of the Consent
Items on the agenda for the ensuing regular meeting concerning an
approved modification to establish setbacks at 250 W. Colorado
Boulevard which also included a requirement for dedication of property
to provide for a 10 foot wide right turn lane along Colorado Place.
Ray Rogers, Vice President and General Manager of the Los Angeles
Turf Club said in part that they will participate by removing concrete
curbs, gutter and sidewalk; construct new curb and gutter with depressed
curbs for driveways. Plans of this were reviewed indicating a 'right
turn only lane' at the intersection of Colorado Place and Colorado
Boulevard. The developer accepted the proposal.
In order to take action on this the provisions of the Procedural
Ordinance were waived on MOTION by Councilman Gilb, seconded by
Councilman Saelid and carried on roll call vote as follows:
