CONTINUED. _/ .' f ,I- '/.'1-,1-- EXECUTIVE SESS ION I 24: 9927 MINUTES CITY COUNCIL AND THE ARCADIA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 21, 1979 The City Council and the Arcadia Redevelopment Agency met in an adjourned regular session at 3:30 p.m., December 21, 1979 in the Conference Room. PRESENT: ABSENT : Members Gilb, Parry, Pellegrino, Saelid, Margett None Disposition and Development Agreement between the Arcadia Redevelop- ment Agency and the Republic Development Company for the proposed sale and development of real property in the Project Area east of Second Avenue. An appraisal had been obtained for the City and Agency owned parcels. Agency received the report from staff concern- ing the purchase price, any loss from the properties being removed from the tax rolls and other related data. At 3:35 p.m. the Members entered an executive session and reconvened at 4:l0 p.m. Following is the property description and recommended sale price of the individual parcels. Parcel #1 (Agency Owned): Lot 1 of $ 54,000.00 Parcel Map 10724 recorded in Book Ill, pages 13 and 14 of Parcel Maps in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County. parcel #2 (Agency owned): The southerly $229,8l5.00 156 feet of the northerly l76 feet of Lot 9, Tract No. 5205, as per map recorded in Book 54, page 61 of Maps in the Office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County; except the southerly 56 feet of the northerly 76 feet of the easterly 99 feet of said Lot 9. parcel #3 (City owned): That portion of $ 74,l85.00 Lot 9 of Tract No. 5205, in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as shown on Map recorded in Book 54, page 61 of Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder of said County des- cribed as follows: Beginning at a point in the easterly'line of said Lot, distant thereon South 00 02' 00" West 40 feet from the northeast cor- ner of said Lot; thence southerly along the easterly line of said lot a distance of 36.00 feet; thence westerly parallel with the northerly line of said Lot, a distance of 97.00 feet, more or less, to che easterly line of westerly 98.35 feet measured along the northerly line, of said Lot; thence northerly along said last men- tioned easterly line 56.00 feet, to the southerly line of Huntington Dr. lOO feet wide, thence easterly along the south line of said Huntington Dr. 77.00 feet; thence south 450 00" east 28.28 feet to the point of beginning. -l- 12-21-79 PROPOSAL TO NEGOTIATE (Jan. 2, 1980) ADJOURNMENT 24: 9928 Parcel #4 (City owned): Lot 10 and the northerly 45 feet of Lot 11, Tract No. 8504, as per Map recorded in Book 107, page 56 of Maps in the Office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County. $ 30,200.00 Parcel #5 (City owned): The southerly 45 feet of the northerly 345 feet of Lot 9, Tract No. 5205, as per Map re- corded in Book 54, page 61 of Maps in the Office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County. $ 27,200.00 TOTAL - $4l5,400.00 It was MOVED by Member Gilb, seconded by Member Saelid and carried I on roll call vote as follows that the subject properties be sold to Republic Development Company for a total of $4l5,400. It was noted that the formula used for arriving at these selling prices will not be applicable for every piece of property sold in the future. AYES NOES ABSENT: Members Gilb, Parry, Pellegrino, Saelid, Margett None None Republic Development Company will furnish a map indicating properties in which they are not interested. The Agreement to Negotiate a Disposition and Development for properties in the Project Area east of First Avenue and not, currently covered by an approved Disposition and Development Agreement was continued to 6 p.m. January 2, 1980 0 n MOTION by M em b e r Gilb, seconded by Me m b e r Parry and carried on roll call vote as follows: AYES NOES ABSENT: Members Gilb, Parry, Pellegrino, Saelid, Margett None None Discussion held on the need for efficient recording of the proceedings held in the Conference Room. Staff will check into this. Mayor Margett advised that the Board and Commission members will be invited to a brunch January 20 at 9 a,.m. at the Park Ritz Restaurant.
