ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
FEBRUARY 5, 1980
The City Council met in an adjourned regular session at 7 p.m.
February 5, 1980 in the Arcadia City Hall Conference Room.

Councilmen Gilb, Parry, Saelid, Pellegrino
Mayor Margett
On MOTION by Councilman Gilb, seconded by Councilman Parry and
carried unanimously Mayor Margett was excused.
Communication from the Executive Officer of the Local Agency
Formation Commission relating the content of Assembly Bill 1983
which would provide that a proposal for the detachment of inhabit-
ed territory from a city, initiated by petition of registered
voters of the affected territory, shall not be disapproved by the
local agency formation commission. The Commission has gone on
record as opposing the bill and is asking cities to take similar
action. It was MOVED by Councilman Gilb, seconded by Councilman
Sae1id and carried on roll call vote as follows that the City
oppose this bill and that Assemblyman Fe1ando be so notified.
Rose woodall, President of the local Board of Realtors, presented
an invitation to attend the March 5 dinner meeting. John Seymour,
President of the California Association of Realtors, will speak on
Housing in the 80's.
An agenda item concerning 119 - 121 La Porte Street was removed
from the agenda.

On recommendation of the City Manager it was MOVED by Councilman
Parry, seconded by Councilman Saelid and carried unanimously that a
public hearing was scheduled for February 19 on the application of
the Unification Church for a Certificate of Registration for relig-
ious solicitation.
At 7:30 p.m. the meeting adjourned sine die.
