HomeMy WebLinkAboutMAY 3,1978 1 ROLL CALL QUITCLAIM TO BE EXECUTED I ADJOURNMENT 23:9517 MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING MAY 3, 1978 The City Council met in an adjourned regular session on May 3, 1978 at 3 p.m. for the purpose of reviewing the budget for the fiscal year 1978-79. PRESENT: Councilmen Gi1b, Margett, Pellegrino, Sae1id, Parry (Councilman Margett arrived at 3:55 p.m.) ABSENT: None The City Council reviewed item by item of the police department budget with the Chief of Police responding to questions. An item in 421-68 was held over. This relates to equipment replacement. In discussing the police reserve program and on recommendation of the Police Chief it was MOVED by Councilman Gi1b, seconded by Councilman Saelid, and carried on roll call vote as follows that the Arcadia Mounted Police be merged with the Police Reserve Program and considered as one unit. AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Councilmen Gi1b, Margett, Pellegrino, Sae1id, Parry None None Due to a commitment of Councilman Margett the budget session scheduled for May 13 was cancelled. The following dates were scheduled: May 9 Tuesday 6 p.m. May 11 Thursday 4 p.m. On MOTION by Councilman Gi1b, seconded by Councilman Sae1id and carried on roll call vote as follows the Mayor and Chairman were AUTHORIZED to execute any document necessary to resolve to Safeco Title Company's satisfaction the fixing of boundary lines in the vacated portion of Indiana Street between Lots 31, 32 and 4 of Block 77 of the Santa Anita Tract. AYES: Councilmen Gi1b, Margett, Pellegrino, Sae1id, Parry NOES: None ABSENT: None At 4:50 p.m. the meeting adjourned to May 9 at 6 p.m. for Budget considerations. ATTEST: ~~, 5-3-78 City Clerk
