PRESENT: ABSENT: Councilmen Gilb, Margett, Pellegrino, Saelid, Parry None The City Manager explored items to come before the City Council this date in the regular meeting to convene at 7:30 p.m. On recoonnendation of the City Manager it was MOVED by Councilman Pellegrino, seconded by Councilman Margett and carried on roll call vote as follows that the services of the independent auditors, Lance, SolI and Lunghard, Certified Public Accountants, be retained to conduct a special audit of the City's Dial-A-Ride transactions for the fiscal years ending June 30 of 1975, 1976 and 1977, at a fee not to exceed $1,500. It was noted that this is required as part of the application for Federal Transit Grant Funds. (CounCil Contingency' Account). AYES: ABSENT: Councilmen Gilb, Margett, Pellegrino, Saelid, Parry None On MOTION by Councilman Saelid, seconded by Councilman Gi1b and carried unanimously Harold Hedlund, 310 W. Wistaria Avenue, was appointed for a four year term on the Planning Commission. This will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of William Kuyper. Diamond Jubilee Chairman James R. Helms, Jr., explored some of the plans for the forthcoming celebration in an endeavor to keep the City Council informed. He noted progress made on planned events and said in part that the written budgets will be presented to him shortly and that they are trying to be self-supporting where possible. He also noted some of the revenue producing activities. Mayor Parry spoke briefly on the anticipated reduction in the proposed budget for 1978-79 and Mr. Helms said they are doing everything to hold down expenditures.
