ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
NOVEMBER 7, 1978
The City Council of the City of Arcadia, California, met in an
adjourned regular session on Tuesday, November 7, 1978 at 7 p.m.
in the City Hall Conference Room.
PRESENT :

Councilmen Margett, Pellegrino, Saelid, Parry
Councilman Gilb
On MOTION by Councilman Saelid, seconded by Councilman Pellegrino and
carried unanimously Councilman Gilb was excused.
The City Council explored the agenda items and Resolution No. 4792 was
held over until the next regular Council meeting on MOTION by Councilman
Margett, seconded by Councilman Pellegrino and carried unanimously.
On recommendation of the City Manager the claim of Phyllis F. Czako
for property damages in the amount of $520.88 was APPROVED for payment
on MOTION by Councilman Pellegrino, seconded by Councilman Saelid and
carried on roll call vote as follows:

On recommendation of staff Glen Kiersey was appointed Senior Building
Inspector on a temporary basis at a 10% increase in compensation
($1,681 per month) starting November 6, 1978. Formal action was taken
on MOTION by Councilman Saelid, seconded by Councilman Pellegrino and
carried on roll call vote as follows:

On recommendation of staff it was MOVED by Councilman Pellegrino,
seconded by Councilman Margett and carried on roll call vote as follows
that an alarm system on sprinklers in the Council Chamber Building and
an interconnective alarm system with the Police alarm board be
installed. Cost of $960 to be charged to the General Contingency
Account,

Brief discussions held on a communication from Mrs. Barbara Reiter;
the accidental death on Huntington Drive of a local resident this
date; combining the Water Department with the Department of Public
Works; and some items in the Capital Improvement Program... this
latter will be discussed in depth at the regular meeting to convene
at 7 :30 p,m.
