HomeMy WebLinkAboutFEBRUARY 7,1977 22:9164 MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 7, 1977 The City Council met in an adjourned regular session on February 7, 1977 at 4:30 p.m. in the Arcadia City Hall Conference Room. The primary purpose of this meeting was to discuss the proposed bingo ordinance with a committee appointed to make recommendations. ROLL CALL I PRESENT: ABSENT: Council Members Gilb, Parry, Saelid, Lauber Council Member Margett COMMITTEE MEMBERS: Helen Gains Jerry Plessner W. J. Schmitt Ed Harver John Joseph STAFF: Police Chief Mitchell Finance Director Charles Reiman City Attorney Charles Liberto BINGO DISCUSSION The proposed ordinance was considered section by section. Mrs. Gains explained the changes which had been made as a result of the last meeting held with the Committee and Staff members. The Committee Chairman, Ed Harver, expressed satisfaction with the present document and thanked the City Attorney for his endeavors and accomplishments in bringing about the ordinance in its present state. Some changes were suggested and the City Attorney noted each and will incorporate them in the ordinance which will be before the City Council in public hearing proceedings on February IS. The City Attorney submitted that he has some additional regulations which he will submit to Council at the same time. It was noted that even if the ordinance is introduced on February 15 it will not be effective until approximately April 1. Mayor Lauber thanked the Committee for giving so much time and effort and the meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m. to February IS at 7 p.m. in the Conference Room. ~~v~ I Christine Van Maanen City Clerk 2-7-77
