HomeMy WebLinkAboutJULY 5,1977 1 1 22:9254 MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING JULY 5, 1977 The City Council of the City of Arcadia, met in adjourned regular session on Tuesday, July 5, 1977 at 7 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the Arcadia City Hall. ROLL CALL PRESENT: ABSENT: Council Members Lauber, Margett, Parry, Saelid Councilman Gilb PARKING PROJECT (DOWNTOWN) The Assistant to the City Manager explained the situation with the consulting engineers for the downtown parking project - that the firm is moving from the city but is willing to continue its work. He advised there are two other firms who would be capable and would use the existing drawings, etc. Councilman Parry would like more information and will meet with management to discuss it further. SKATEBOARD The City Manager advised of interest in using land south of the Arcadia Mounted Police Building on Live Oak for a skate board facility. Additional information will be obtained for Council consideration. The possibility of residential objection was submitted and will be pursued. Agenda items for the regular meeting were explored. The Land Committee will meet soon. The contractor for the new Council Chamber would like to start the remodeling job in City Hall, but it was felt the new Chamber should be entirely finished and ready to use before the remodeling is started.
