ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
SEPTEMBER 20, 1977
The City Council of the City of Arcadia, California
met in adjourned regular session on September 20, 1977
at 7 p.m. in the Arcadia City Hall Conference Room.
PRESENT:
ABSENT:
Council Members Lauber, Margett, Parry, Saelid
Council Member Gilb
On MOTION by Council Member Lauber, seconded qy Council
Member Margett and carried unanimously Counci~ Member
Gilb was excused.
Council explored the agenda items which will be considered
at the regular meeting to be convened at 7:30 p.m. this
date.
The City Manager brought up for discussion two offers con-
cerning a lease of city owned property adjaceqt to the
Mounted Police on Live Oak Avenue to be used as a skateboard
park. The Planning Director to obtain plans from these
two firms.
On MOTION by Council Member Lauber, seconded by Council Member
Margett and carried on roll call vote as follows the salary
for the Water Manager was increased to $2300 per month.

Council Member Gilb
On MOTION by Council Member Lauber, seconded by Council Member
Margett and carried on roll call vote as follows a new typewriter
was authorized for purchase for the City Clerk's office. $682.11 was
authorized from General Contingency Account. This is to replace a
1962 model which is inoperable.

The Assistant to the City Manager advised on changes in some of
the documents relating to the Assessment District 76-1. Resolutions
for the District will be considered and acted upon during the regular
meeting.
Upon advice that the Holy Angels Parish has filed an application to
permit Bingo games in the School Auditorium on dates as listed thereon,
a public hearing was scheduled for October 18.
On MOTION by Council Member Margett, seconded by Council Member Parry
and carried on roll call vote as follows the firm of Fred S. James Company
was authorized to prepare Worker's Compensation Procedural Guidelines.
