HomeMy WebLinkAboutFEBRUARY 6,1973 I w," em I 20:8215 MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 6, 1973 The City Council met in an adjourned regular session on February 6, 1973 at 7 p,m. in the City Hall Conference Room. PRESENT: ABSENT: Councilmen Arth, Butterworth, Helms, Scott, Rage None The City Manager advised of the receipt of a communication from the Rancho Santa Anita Residents' Association requesting permission to make an oral presentation at the regular meeting of February 20. He also noted there will not be a League of California Cities General Membership Meeting in the City this year. Council scheduled a meeting to discuss the Capital Projects Program on Monday February 26, 1973 at 7:30 p.m. Items appearing on the agenda for the regular meeting to convene at 7:30 p.m. this date were explored briefly. Councilman Helms asked staff to prepare a report on a problem at 601 Camino Grove Avenue. Councilman Scott referred to the schedule on the proposed budget for 1973-1974 and suggested an earlier starting date in order to provide sufficient time for study and determinations. He also referred to the numbers of newspaper stands in front of commercial establishments throughout the City. Survey will be made with a report back. Councilman Butterworth referred to a communication from the President of the Library Board extending an invitation to all members of the City Council to meet with the Board on March 15 at which time the budget for the ensuing year will be discussed. He felt the Board does not fully understand the position of theCity Council and vice verse... The Council members who are able to attend will do so, however, Councilman Helms indicated he felt it would set a precedent and said he would not attend.
