CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
MAY 14, 1975
The City Council of the City of Arcadia, California met in
adjourned regular session on May 14, 1975 at 8 p.m, in the Arcadia
Hall Conference Room for continuation of the proposed Budget 1975-
1976 review. (Prior to this Council had met at 7:30 p.m. fot labor
negotiations.)

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
The Building and Safety, Engineering and
the Street Divisions were explored in
detail. NO CHANGE.
RECREATION DEPARTMENT
NO CHANGE.
The possibility of a tennis tournament,
coaching for track meet entrants and
expansion of the Wilderness Area
discussed. Also the use of motorcycles
in the Wilderness Park.
LIBRARY
One figure in 460-1 Account changed to
read $272,094.
Council discussed and asked that some form
of record control or enforcement be
established when violations are encountered
through the use of the new security
equipment.
WATER DEPARTMENT
Each item reviewed. NO CHANGE.
ARCADIA REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY
Reviewed. NO CHANGE,
Council reviewed and discussed the latest communication and requests
from the Chamber of Commerce. These included a letter from the
President, William Beckwith, a summary of items and a survey of othet
Cities in connection with that agency assistance. Council asked for
more detailed data and staff will confer with Chamber in this regard.
Discussion held on the request of HOY for financial assistance during
the ensuing year. Matter held over pending more information on items
submitted by Council, including the Out-Reach Program.
Some discussion on the need for space in the preservation of records
such as the Planning Department maps and the like.
At 10 p.m. the meeting adjourned to 7 p. . MAY 20
ROOM.
