It was noted by the City Manager and the Director of Public Works
that concurrent with the construction of the Foothill Freeway from
Santa Anita Avenue to Huntington Drive the State Contractor has
revamped and relocated interfering portions of the City sanitary
sewer system. The total cost of this ~rk is in the amount of
$17,000 to be paid by the State from available Federal funds, However,
revised State procedures require the execution of one utility agreement
in order to establish the legal basis for the State to have the work
performed by and payment made to the highway contractor, Whereupon it
was MOVED by Councilman Considine, seconded by Councilman Hage and
carried on roll call vote as follows, that the Mayor be authorized to
execute Route 210 Freeway Construction Utility Agreement No. 7Ut-368l.

and/or abandonment of Water Department facilities. The State will pay
for the relocation but the City must pay the difference in cost between
the existing facilities and the proposed larger size facilities. Estimate
cost is $61,728.75. Reimburseable monies from State will amount to
$50,178,75 and funds are in the current budget in Account Nos, 470-4 and
