The City of Arcadia pumps from two su areas of the Raymond Basin commonly referred to as the East Raymond Basin and th West Raymond Basin. The City of Arcadia's pumping rights for Fiscal Year 2002-13 i the West Raymond Basin are 1,805 acre feet. I Beginning in Fiscal Year 2009-10, the Raymond Basin Management Board approved a Cooperative Pumping Reduction Plan to reduce production in the West Raymond Basin by 30 percent. The plan requires each producer in the West Raymond Basin to cut their water production by six percent each year until the 30 percent is reached. The Cooperative Pumping Reduction Plan was implemented due to low groundwater levels. This lease would generate $37,500 for the City as revenue to be applied to the Water Fund and used to offset the cost to purchase Replacement Water in the Main San Gabriel Basil. J'a It is recommended that the City Council authorize and direct the City Manager to execute an agreement to lease to the Huntington Library 150 acre feet of Fiscal Year 2012-13 water production rights in the West Raymond Basin for a total cost • $37,500.
