Staff advised of the interest of the John Hedrick Company in con-
structing a commercial office building at the southwest corner of
Huntington Drive and Fifth Avenue. Members of the company were
present to explain its proposal.
Robert Picone, Vice President in charge of commercial and medical
development, introduced others connected with the project, and
spoke at length on just what they had in mind ... the company is
in need of larger quarters and view the subject site as ideal as
they desire to remain in the San Gabriel Valley area ... the de-
velopment would be between 40 and 50,000 sq. ft., it would be a
2 or 3 story garden type office project. Photographs were dis-
played as were the site plans indicating locations of the park-
ing lots, landscaping, reflective pools and the like.
Mr. Picone explored the financial aspect and submitted in part
that they have tied up some of the properties adjacent to the
I
city-owned parcel at the corner.
Council will consider this proposal in a closed session.

vene at 7:30 p.m. Accommodations for the forthcoming joint meet-
ing with the School Board were discussed and it was agreed that
the meeting be held in the Council Chamber (July 28 at 7:30 p.m.)

dent of a condominium in the area the City is being asked to annex
