The City Council and the Arcadia Redevelopment Agency met -.. in an Adjourned Regular meeting at 7:00 p. m., Tuesday March 17, 1992, in the Conference Room of the City Hall Council Chambers. PRESENT: Councilmembers Ciraulo, Fasching, Harbicht, Young and Gilb None ABSENT: In reply to a question from Mayor Gilb, the Recreation Director said that granting of permission for photography at Wilderness Park has not been discontinued. For instance, if a photography club has 50% Arcadia membership, it >lOuld qualify. The group that was denied this permission did not qualify. ,e , There will be a budget session on Monday, May 18, 1992 at 6:00 p. m. The City Attorney will ,bring to the next Council meeting a resolution supporting the School District's position regarding the voucher system. It was the consensus of Council that a $250 reward be presented to the young lady who reported individuals who were spraying graffiti at one of the schools. The check will be presented at the April 7, 1992 Council meeting. The City Manager requested a CLOSED SESSION. Mayor Pro ,tern Harbich~ requested a letter be sent to Anthony R. Fellow~, President, Board of Directors of the Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District because he is spreading the word that the Rodeffer Pit will become a refuse landfill. In fact it is planned to become an inert landfill. Apparently he is spreading this misinformation intentionally so that the El Monte residents will fight anything Arcadia plans to do with the Rodeffer Pit. In reply to a question from Councilmember Young, staff replied that Von's Foothill will replace the trees which were removed at their parking lot. 3/17/92 1 34:0068a KARIOKE CLUBS In reply to a question from Councilmember Young, the Police Chief stated that the owners of the karioke place on Live Oak Avenue have been very cooperative. The City Attorney will look into Arcadia's existing Code with regard to the karioke clubs. PLOUNT DEVELOPMENT (Trees) Councilmember Fasching requested staff to check on the Plount development on First Avenue, They have dug water walls around the trees, and it is his understanding that this practice may cause the trees to die.
