MAY 7, 1991
The City Council and the Arcadia Redevelopment Agency met in

p.m. in the Conference Room of the City Hall Council Chambers.
PRESENT: Councilmembers Ciraulo, Fasching, Harbicht, Young
and Gilb
ABSENT: None
Mayor Gilb commented that since American Golf assumed
operation of the Par-3 Golf Course, the revenues to the City
went from $22,710 in FY 1987-88 to $132,000 in FY 1989-90.
Council agreed that the new operators are doing a very good
job.
Agenda Item 7a, Regular Meeting this date, to be scheduled for
public hearing May 21, 1991.
The City Manager requested a Closed Session before the Regular .
Meeting convenes at 7:30 p. m.
In reference to a memorandum from the Water Manager in
connection with the proposed water leases between the City and
Sierra Madre, staff informed Council that no action was
required at this time. The Water Manager verified that if
the water allocation is not used by June 30, 1991, the City
will lose the water. The City Manager informed Council that
Sierra Madre will not actually purchase water from Arcadia,
as such, it will be more like an exchange of pumping rights.
Sierra Madre could pump from an area in which Arcadia has
rights and Arcadia could pump from an area where Sierra Madre
has the rights. The proposal has not been formally presented
to the City when it is, the matter will then come before
the Council for consideration.
Councilmember Harbicht MOVED that the resignation of John
Saunders from the S is ter City Commiss ion be accepted with
regret. Also, that a letter be sent to Mr. Saunders thanking
him for his service.
Councilmember Fasching, Arcadia's Delegate, will attend the
Foothill Transit Board Meeting. The City Manager reported
that Sarah Flores informed him that Mike Antonovich, County
Supervisor - 5th District, is asking for suggestions for
appointments to the Foothill Transit Zone. Councilmember
Fasching's name has been submitted. Ms. Flores stated that
four or five names have been submitted to Supervisor
Antonovich thus far.
At 7:08 p. m. Council entered a CLOSEDSESSION,_RECONVENED AND
ADJOURNED sine die at 7:30 p. m.
