(May 8, 1991) ADJOURNMENT J Alford, MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA and the ARCADIA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING MAY 7, 1991 The City Council and the Arcadia Redevelopment Agency met in an Adjourned Regular session on Tuesday, May 7, 1991, at 7:00 p.m. in the Conference Room of the City Hall Council Chambers. PRESENT: Councilmembers Ciraulo, Fasching, Harbicht, Young and Gilb ABSENT: None Mayor Gilb commented that since American Golf assumed operation of the Par-3 Golf Course, the revenues to the City went from $22,710 in FY 1987-88 to $132,000 in FY 1989-90. Council agreed that the new operators are doing a very good job. Agenda Item 7a, Regular Meeting this date, to be scheduled for public hearing May 21, 1991. The City Manager requested a Closed Session before the Regular . Meeting convenes at 7:30 p. m. In reference to a memorandum from the Water Manager in connection with the proposed water leases between the City and Sierra Madre, staff informed Council that no action was required at this time. The Water Manager verified that if the water allocation is not used by June 30, 1991, the City will lose the water. The City Manager informed Council that Sierra Madre will not actually purchase water from Arcadia, as such, it will be more like an exchange of pumping rights. Sierra Madre could pump from an area in which Arcadia has rights and Arcadia could pump from an area where Sierra Madre has the rights. The proposal has not been formally presented to the City when it is, the matter will then come before the Council for consideration. Councilmember Harbicht MOVED that the resignation of John Saunders from the S is ter City Commiss ion be accepted with regret. Also, that a letter be sent to Mr. Saunders thanking him for his service. Councilmember Fasching, Arcadia's Delegate, will attend the Foothill Transit Board Meeting. The City Manager reported that Sarah Flores informed him that Mike Antonovich, County Supervisor - 5th District, is asking for suggestions for appointments to the Foothill Transit Zone. Councilmember Fasching's name has been submitted. Ms. Flores stated that four or five names have been submitted to Supervisor Antonovich thus far. At 7:08 p. m.
