Report) EARTHQUAKE DAMAGE MAP CN,Qo ./)O N.sP CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT M I NUT E S CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA and the ARCADIA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING JULY 16, 1991 The City Council and the Arcadia Redevelopment Agency met in an Adjourned Regular Meeting on Tuesday, July 16, 1991, at 7:00 p.m. in the Conference Room of the City Hall Council Chambers. PRESENT: Councilmembers Ciraulo, Fasching, Harbicht, Young and Gilb ABSENT: None It was MOVED by Mayor Gilb, seconded by Councilmember Young and CARRIED, that consideration of the recommendation of the Recreation Commission regarding Wilderness Pa~k entrance fees be CONTINUED to August 20, 1991. This at the request of the Recreation Commission and the Highland Oaks HOA. Staff distributed an addendum to the City of Arcadia Fringe Benefits Resolution, No. 5608. Section 22 Physical Examinations - Management, which was inadvertently omitted from the resolution. The report requested by Council concerning the traffic striping, in particular the transition zone on southbound First Avenue between Wheeler and Huntington Drive, will be ,presented by the Public Works Director under Matters ,from Staff on the regular meeting agenda this date. Staff reported this item will be carried over to the August 6 Council meeting. Costs which were not included in the report will be added. Council voiced no objections to continuing this item to the August 6 meeting. The Planning Director displayed a map of the City indicating locations of properties that sustained damage in the June 28, 1991, earthquake. The sites were color coded to indicate damaged residential properties; commercial/industrial; and public/non-profit sites. Further, the color coding included the residential sites where chimneys had been damaged and then abated by the property' owner, the California Conservation Corps, or City forces. As of this date, July 16, 1991, 620 residential properties with earthquake damage have been identified. A large percentage of these properties, it was noted, appear to be in the Highlands area south of the Raymond Hill fault. The map displayed properties damaged by the earthquake from the upper end of the Highland Oaks area down to south of Live Oak Avenue. Staff requested a Closed Session before ~he regular meeting this date. The City Council then entered 'the CLOSED SESSION, RECONVENED AND ADJOURNED sine die at 7:30 p.m. '--. ~ ' . iLL- i - Carles E.
