continuing this item to the August 6 meeting.
The Planning Director displayed a map of the City indicating
locations of properties that sustained damage in the June 28,
1991, earthquake. The sites were color coded to indicate
damaged residential properties; commercial/industrial; and
public/non-profit sites. Further, the color coding included
the residential sites where chimneys had been damaged and then
abated by the property' owner, the California Conservation
Corps, or City forces. As of this date, July 16, 1991, 620
residential properties with earthquake damage have been
identified. A large percentage of these properties, it was
noted, appear to be in the Highlands area south of the Raymond
Hill fault. The map displayed properties damaged by the
earthquake from the upper end of the Highland Oaks area down
to south of Live Oak Avenue.
