CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
and the
ARCADIA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
MARCH 6, 1990
The City Council and the Arcadia Redevelopment Agency met in
an Adjourned Regular session at 7:00 p. m., Tuesday, March 6,
1990, in the Conference Room of the City Hall Council Chamber.
PRESENT: Councilmembers Gilb, Harbicht, Lojeski, Young and
Chandler
ABSENT: None
The City Manager introduced the new City Librarian, Kent Ross,
to Council. A "welcome" was extended by all. It was noted
that Mr. Ross has been with the City since 1971.
A concise summary of the various points in the proposals.
presented by WLA Arcon and Champion Development was distributed
to Council. This in reference to Item 3e. on the Regular ARA
Meeting agenda this date. The City Manager reminded Council
that Arcon chose not to submit a proposal for the reduced site
which would exclude the traffic island ... their proposed
development plans would encompass the entire area. Champion
has submitted proposals for both the entire site and the site
without the traffic island.
Councilmember Harbicht has provided Council with suggestions
for further study in connection with height limit restrictions
in single-family residential zones which Council has been
considering. This matter had been referred back to the
Planning Commission earlier.
The City of Rosemead has communicated to Arcadia that their
City Council has adopted a resolution requesting that the
Governor of the State of California call a halt to the aerial
spraying of Malathion.
The City Manager requested a Closed Session before the Regular
Meeting this date.
Council then entered the CLOSED SESSION, RECONVENED AND
ADJOURNED sine die at 7:35 p. m.
