(City of Rosemead) CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT ATTEST: M I NUT E S CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA and the ARCADIA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING MARCH 6, 1990 The City Council and the Arcadia Redevelopment Agency met in an Adjourned Regular session at 7:00 p. m., Tuesday, March 6, 1990, in the Conference Room of the City Hall Council Chamber. PRESENT: Councilmembers Gilb, Harbicht, Lojeski, Young and Chandler ABSENT: None The City Manager introduced the new City Librarian, Kent Ross, to Council. A "welcome" was extended by all. It was noted that Mr. Ross has been with the City since 1971. A concise summary of the various points in the proposals. presented by WLA Arcon and Champion Development was distributed to Council. This in reference to Item 3e. on the Regular ARA Meeting agenda this date. The City Manager reminded Council that Arcon chose not to submit a proposal for the reduced site which would exclude the traffic island ... their proposed development plans would encompass the entire area. Champion has submitted proposals for both the entire site and the site without the traffic island. Councilmember Harbicht has provided Council with suggestions for further study in connection with height limit restrictions in single-family residential zones which Council has been considering. This matter had been referred back to the Planning Commission earlier. The City of Rosemead has communicated to Arcadia that their City Council has adopted a resolution requesting that the Governor of the State of California call a halt to the aerial spraying of Malathion. The City Manager requested a Closed Session before the Regular Meeting this date. Council then entered the CLOSED SESSION, RECONVENED AND ADJOURNED sine die at 7:35 p. m. 3/6/90 -1-
