ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
FEBRUP.RY 23, 1987
The City Council met in an adjourned regular session at 5:30 p. m.,
February 23, 1987, in the Arcadia City Hall Conference Room.
PRESENT: Counci1members Chandler, Gi1b, Harbicht, Lojeski and Young
ABSENT: None
The City Attorney presented, explained the content and read the
title of Resolution No. 5344 entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, REVOKING AND RESINDING
RESOLUTION NO. 5330 CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION ON APRIL 21, 1987, RESINDING RESOLUTION NO. 5331 REGAROING
CONSOLIDATION AND CANCELLING SAID SPECIAL ELECTION".
It was MOVED by Counci1member Harbicht, seconded by Counci1member
Lojeski and CARRIED on roll call vote as follows that Resolution
No. 5344 be revised in part to reflect the changes noted by the
City Attorney and adopted with those changes to be incorporated
and that as such the Resolution is hereby ADOPTED.

Mayor Young spoke to the Bicentennial Celebration for which she has
appointed a Committee and about a forthcoming meeting in Phoenix.
Suggestions for the celebration would be welcome.
The City Manager expressed appreciation to the local press about an
article which appeared in the. Sunday newspaper reassuring residents
that the water is safe to drink. It was noted that tests on the
toxicity of the substance that seeped into the Peck Road Water Con-.
servation Park recently is being conducted and the results are not
known at this time.
The.meeting adjourned at 5:50 p. m. to March 3,1987 at 7:00 p. m.
in the Conference Room of the Council Chamber to conduct the business
of the Council and Agency and any Closed Session, of any, necessary
to discuss personnel, litigation matters and evaluation of properties.
