Councilmember Young referred to a meeting being held in Sacramento tOday relative to five bills on waste energy with the National Resources Committee. In discussing this with Assemblyman Mountjoy's office, she was advised that the Hill's Bill, which Mountjoy is co- sponsoring, was held over until next week, probably because they would like to add an amendment to the Bill. The other bills were reported on and Councilmember Young also said, in part, that, due to the delay, the Pacific Waste Manage- ment Company may have to refinance ... and they have not had approval as yet. Councilmember Young also referred to the budget submitted by the Historical Commission and Historical Society and felt that they should concentrate on raising funds... pursue grants; that there are grants available for the Museum... that the City should assist with the build- ing, but not thereafter. It was the consensus of Council that Council- member Young meet with both the Commission and the Society Board to discuss this. v In response to an inquiry by Councilmember Lojeski, the Director of Publ ic Works said, in part, that bids will be received in May and it is hoped the installation will be completed in September.
