Staff explored some of the agenda items which Council will consider
at the regular meeting to convene at 7:30 p. m. this date.
In response to a request from Councilmember Lojeski, staff explained
the status of a plan which had been approved by the Architectural
Review Board of the Homeowners' Association for a residence at 181
White Oak Dri ve. It seems the plan had been changed from those
approved by the Board and it will be before the Association once
more. Councilmember Lojeski just felt the Councilmembers should
know about it should they receive inquiries or complaints as he had.
Councilmember Gilb referred to a communication written by the Arcadia
Beautiful Commission to Los Angeles County Supervisor Schabarum con-
cerning the water fountain and felt that when Boards and/or Commissions
communicate with official bodies on City stationery, the Council
should approve the letters. He noted that the Council is now
corresponding with the Board/Supervisors concerning the display
of merchandise on certain weekends on County Park property. It
was also submitted that the fountain belongs to the local Rotary
Club.
At Councilmember Hannah's suggestion, the newly elected Council-
members wi 11 be informed of and invited to the "forth<i:oming Sail: Gabri e 1
'Valley Training Consortium dinner workshop on May 14 at 5:30 p. m.

Management Company in its endeavors to obtain State approval.
The City Attorney replied in the affirmative to Councilmember Harbicht's
inquiry if there is justification for the use of City funds for recre-
ational purposes on school property. This in connection with a re-
quest for authority to call for bids for rehabilitation of recre-
ational facilities on school property (Job No. 559).
