Discussion then turned to the architect, his plans and building
permit. The City Attorney explained in detail the concept he has
worked out with the architect. Council concurred and the attorney
will proceed. It was noted that the Board/Re~ltors have a number
of contacts with architects and thatlit should pOSE no problem to
obtain an architect if the present one does not work out. Nick
Pokrajac, the contractor, ,is, out of the City at the present time.
The contractor would be the one to pull the building permit and
he would be working for the Historical Society. Mr. Goddard will
impart all of the foregoing to the Society and during the interim,
the City Attorney will incorporate all of the actions of the Council
at this meeting in a proposed a~reement between the City and. the '
Society.
It had earlier been agreed that the amount for Parent Alert remain
at $3000 as included in the budget.
COUNCIL THEN ENTERED A REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING at 7:00 p. m.
Considerable discussion held on the most expeditious way in which
to have the, Arts and Crafts Fair at the County Park cease operations.
The Chamber/Commerte has also asked the County for this and it was
MOVEO by Councilmember Chandler, seconded by Councilmember Harbicht
and CARRIED on roll call vote as follows that a communication be
directed to County Supervisor SChabarum, over the Mayor's and
Chamber/Commerce signatures, requesting that the Fair be discontinued;
that, if requested, the license fees be refunded; and that the Busine~~
License Department be instructed not to reissue any permits in the
future. '" ~
