".. 26:0198 M I NUT E S CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA and the ARCADIA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 19, 1986 The City Counci I and the Arcadia Redevelopment Agency met in an adjourned session at 7:00 p. m., August 19, 1986 in the Arcadia City Hall Conference Room. PRESENT: ABSENT: Councllmembers Chandler, Gilb, Harbicht, Lojeski and Young None An agreement with the Arcadia Historical Society was discussed. An item on page 6 to be changed. (Will be 0n the agenda for the regular meeting this date.) Councll was advised that a new Resolution No. ARA 123 has been prepared for consideration. (Will be on agenda for regular meeting this date.) This relates to the ARA Note Issue. )n MOT/UN by Councilmember Harbicht, seconded by Councilmember Chandler and CARRIED, Henrietta Loeffler was appointed to serve on the Senior Citizen Commission during the absence of John Joseph. Mr. Joseph is ill and will return as soon as possible. October 7, 1986 was scheduled for the public hearing on the appeal of Santa Anita Uaks Architectural Review Board's denial of roofing material (Celetex Dimensional Fiberglass shingles) at 284 Hacienda Drive (Virgin Roof Company, applicant. 1 David Feinberg was introduced as the new Administrative Aide in the jffice of the City Manager. Brought up the condition of school property at California Santa Anita,.. weeds and debris ... it is a fire hazard. City Manager to contact the Superintendent of Schools. and The Asked about the status of the convalescent hospital on Baldwin Avenue owned and operated by Orlando Clarizio. The Fire Chief explained steps which have been taken by his department. Council- member Lojeski suggested legal action be pursued and Council agreed. Concern was expressed primarily for the welfare of the patients ... perhaps through the County Health Department. The City Attorney to proceed. Advised he will be attending the San Gabriel Valley Waste Management meeting on August 20. The Librarian advised that a pub1 ic notice has been made concerning the closing of the Library from August 18 through September 1, 1986.
