I REPORT FROM CITY ATTORNEY/AGENCY COUNSEL ON CLOSED SESSION ITEM
City Attorney Steve Deitsch announced that the City Council meet in a Closed Session to
discuss the one (1) item listed on the posted special meeting agenda regarding labor
negotiations. No reportable action was taken.

MOTION TO READ ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS BY TITLE ONLY AND WAIVE
THE READING IN FULL
A motion was made by Council/Agency Member Amundson, seconded by Council/Agency
Member Harbicht and carried on roll call vote to read all ordinances and resolutions by title only
and waive the reading in full.
PUBLIC COMMENTS (5 minutes per person)

Kids Club.

1. CONSENT CALENDAR
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ITEMS:
a, AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO ENTER INTO A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH RSCC ENGINEERING. INC.
FOR $21.000 FOR THE DESIGN OF TENTATIVE AND FINAL PARCEL MAP
FOR VACANT LOT OWNED BY THE CITY LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE
OFF EAST LIVE OAK AVENUE AT THE ACCESS ROAD TO ARCADIA PAR-3
GOLF COURSE AND APPROPRIATE $25.000 FROM THE REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY FUND FOR THESE SERVICES.
Recommended Action: Approve
CITY COUNCIL ITEMS:
b. ACCEPT GETTY FOUNDATION GRANT FOR $4.000 TO THE RUTH AND
CHARLES GILB ARCADIA HISTORICAL MUSEUM FOR A SUMMER INTERN.
Recommended Action: Approve
c, FINAL MAP NO. 65564 FOR A 12-UNIT RESIDENTIAL CONDOMINIUM
PROJECT AT 602 AND 604 SOUTH SECOND AVENUE AND 601 SOUTH
THIRD AVENUE.

ORDINANCE NO. 2229 AMENDING ARTICLE VIII. CHAPTER 5. PART 4.
SECTION 8540.4 OF THE ARCADIA MUNICIPAL CODE. CONCERNING THE
UNIFORM SWIMMING POOL. SPA AND HOT TUB CODE.
Recommended Action: Introduce
e. RESOLUTION NO, 6567 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
THE REVISED MASTER AGREEMENT FOR FEDERAL-AID PROJECTS NO.
07-5131R.

A motion was made by Council/Agency Member Harbicht, seconded by Council/Agency
Member Wuo, and carried on roll call vote to approve items 1a through 1e on the City
Council/Agency Consent Calendars.

REMARKS BY OUTGOING MAYOR ROGER CHANDLER
Mayor Chandler commented on several of the accomplishments made during his
tenure. He noted the importance of education and thanked his fellow Council
Members for their support and dedication.
3. REORGANIZATION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
a. City Clerk calls for the nomination of Office of the Mayor of Arcadia
The City Clerk called for nominations for the Office of Mayor. Council Member Segal
was nominated by Mayor Chandler. Noting no further names, the nomination was
closed.

Mayor calls for the nomination of Office of the Mayor Pro Tempore of Arcadia
Mayor Segal called for nominations for the Office of Mayor Pro Tempore. Council
Member Harbicht was nominated by Mayor Segal. Noting no further names, the
nomination was closed,

4. REMARKS AND INTRODUCTIONS BY MAYOR
Mayor Segal introduced members of his family who were in attendance. He thanked
Council Member Chandler for a good year as Mayor. He commented on various
issues and projects currently underway. Mayor Segal noted "Working Together to
Secure Our Future" as the theme for his year as Mayor and a Community Signature
Event to take place in June 2008.
5. REMARKS AND INTRODUCTIONS BY MAYOR PRO TEMPORE
Mayor Pro Tempore Harbicht thanked and congratulated Council Member Chandler
and Mayor Segal and thanked the City Council and City staff for their hard work and
dedication to the community.
6.
REMARKS AND INTRODUCTIONS BY COUNCIL MEMBERS
Council Member Wuo thanked Council Member Chandler for a great year as Mayor
and thanked the City staff, the community and congratulated Mayor Segal.
Council Member Amundson congratulated and thanked Council Member Chandler
for a great year as Mayor and congratulated Mayor Segal.

Council Member Chandler thanked his wife, members of City staff and the
community for their hard work and dedication,
City Clerk Barrows congratulated Mayor Segal and Council Member Harbicht. He
introduced his wife and thanked City staff for their hard work and dedication.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 8:10 p,m.
The City Council Redevelopment Agency adjourned this meeting to May 1, 2007 at 6:00 p.m, in
the City Council Chamber Conference Room.
