Minutes of the AD"I 4. 2006 Reaular Meetina. Recommendation: Approve Motion Roll Call AYES: NOES: 2 A motion was made by Council Member Chandler, seconded by Coundl Member Segal, and carried on roll call vote to approve the Consent Calendar. Coundl/Agency Members Segal, Chandler, Marshall, Kovacc, and Wuo None. CITY CLERK'S REPORT a. Resolution No. 6517. a Resolution of the Otv Coundl of the Otv of Arcadia. California reatina the fact of the General Munidoal Election held on ADMI1!. 2006 declaMna the result and such other matters as orovided bv law. Recommendation: Approve Jim Barrows certified the results of the General Munidpal Election conducted on April 11, 2006. The vote total were as follows: For Robert Harbfcht, a total of 4,505 votes were cast For Peter Amundson, a total of 4,292 votes were cast For John Wuo, a total of 3,767 votes were cast For Sheng Chang, a total of 3,147 votes were cast For S. H. Wen, a total of 2,638 votes were cast For Pamela Blackwood, a total of 2,505 votes were cast For Sho Tay, a total of 1,511 votes were cast The new members of the Arcadia City Council are: Peter Amundson, Robert Harbicht, and John Wuo. For Measure A, a total of 5,982 of "Yes" votes were cast which represented 71.92% voter approval; A total of 2,333 of "No" votes were cast. This represented 28.06% of the votes cast. Pursuant to Artide 13A of the California Constitution, the City may issue general obligation bonds with the approval of a two-thirds vote of the electorate. The total ballots cast in support of Measure A exceeded the two~thirds vote necessary, and as such, Measure A was passed. 1 04-18-2006 Motion Roll Call 3 AYES: NOES: 48:0032 A motion was made by Coundl Member Marshall, seconded by Coundl Member Kovadc and carried on roll call vote to approve Resolution No. 6517, a Resolution of the Oty Coundl of the Oty of Arcadia, California, reciting the fact of the General Municipal Elecbon held on April 11, 2006 dedaring the result and such other matters as provided by law. City Clerk calls for nominations for the Office of Mayor of the City of Arcadia James Barrows, City Clerk, called for nominations for the Office of Mayor of the City of Arcadia. Coundl Member Segal nominated Coundl Member Roger Chandler for Mayor. Noting no other nominations, the City Oerk called for a vote for Roger Chandler as the Mayor of the City of Arcadia. Roll Call AYE: NOES: Amundson, Olandler, Harbicht, Segal, and Wuo None b. Mayor calls for nominations for the Office of Mayor Pro Tempore Mayor O1andler called for nominations for the Office of Mayor Pro Tempore of the aty of Arcadia. Mayor Chandler nominated Coundl Member Mickey Segal for the Office of Mayor Pro Tempore. Noting no other nominations, the aty Oerk called for a vote for Mickey Segal as the Mayor Pro Tempore of the City of Arcadia. c. Newly selected Mayor O1andler acknowledged his family and made general remarks to the audience. His noted that his theme for his Mayoral year is "Taking Care of Business" and he outlined several major objectives he would like to see achieved by the Council. d. Mayor Pro Tempore Mickey Segal acknowledged his family and made general remarks to the audience. e.
