Huntington Drive, Arcadia Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, persons with a disability who require a disability related modification or accommodation in order to participate in a meeting, including auxiliary aids or services, may request such modification or accommodation from Planning Services at 626 - 574-5423. Notification 48 hours prior to the meeting will enable the City to make reasonable arrangements to assure accessibility to the meeting. PUBLIC HEARINGS You are hereby advised that should you desire to legally challenge in court any action taken by the Modification Committee regarding any Public Hearing item, you may be limited to raising only those issues and objections you or someone else raised at the public hearing or in written correspondence delivered to the Modification Committee at, or prior to, the public hearing. a. Modification Application No. MC 12 -19 326 N. First Avenue Arcadia Body Shop A Modification to allow two window signs to occupy 33% of the window area in lieu of the 25% limit (Sec. 9262.4.8). Denied, 3 -0 b. Modification Application No. MC 12 -18 and Administrative Single - Familv Architectural Design Review No. Adm SF ADR 12 -99 233 W. Naomi Ave. Tsena -Yi Samuel Tsai, Property Owner The Applicant is requesting approval of the following Modifications and of the design of the gates and pilasters on the subject property: Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the Modification Committee regarding any item on this agenda will be made available for public inspection in the City Clerk's office located at 240 W. Huntington Drive, Arcadia, California, during normal business hours. 1) A 2' -O" setback from the front property line for the driveway gate and pilasters in lieu of the 4' -0" requirement (AMC Sec. 9252.2.12.1); 2) A height of 3' -5" for pilasters in the required vehicular visibility areas in lieu of the maximum 3' -0" height limit (AMC Sec. 9283.9); 3) A 2' -9" setback from the front property line for the walkway gate and pilasters in lieu of the 4' -0" requirement (AMC Sec. 9252.2.12.1); and 4) A height of 3' -10" for the walkway pilasters in lieu of the 3' -0" maximum height limit (AMC Sec. 9252.2.12.1). Approved 3 -0. subject to the following conditions: 1. A building permit shall be obtained for the non - permitted work. 2. Any future fencing proposed between the gates and pilasters shall comply with the City's fence regulations. PUBLIC COMMENTS (5 minute time limit per person) Each speaker is limited to five (5) minutes per person, unless waived by the Modification Committee. Under the Brown Act, the Members are prohibited from discussing or taking action on any items not listed on the posted agenda. There were none. ADJOURNMENT The Modification Committee will adjoum this meeting to January 22, 2012, at 7:45 a.m. in the Council Chambers Conference Room, 240 W. Huntington Drive, Arcadia.
