BACKGROUND Periodically, classification specifications are revised to ensure employees for the City are meeting and performing duties accurately reflected in their job specification. Relatively minor adjustments to the classification specification, including title, for Museum Education Coordinator are recommended in this report. DISCUSSION The Historical Museum Education Coordinator position plans and implements interpretive programs for the Gilb Museum of Arcadia Heritage. The position addresses historic and cultural topics for various audiences on educational services for school children and teachers and reports to the Historical Museum Curator. The current Historical Museum Education Coordinator is resigning from the City and the Library and Museum Services Department is recommending minor changes to the class specification to reflect a refinement of the position. The classification was created in 2002 and over the years responsibilities have been refined. Therefore, these recommended changes will more accurately reflect those modifications.
