• Maternity Homes
• 3 cleared through investigation
• 18 identified - going back many years
• 12 closed or no longer operating as maternity home
• Many home owners and businesses have proven
responsive to our Quality of Life efforts
• We've established a network of local, state, and federal
resources that we didn't have before

Special Enforcement Desk Update
• Massage Businesses and Licensing
• Continued proactive enforcement efforts with our
Task Force (PD, DSD, FD)
• In process of shutting down one business operating
outside its license during last inspection
• Program continues to serve as an effective
"maintenance" effort in ensuring massage businesses
operate legally and within the scope of their licenses

• Assisted Development Services Department in
identifying, contacting, and dealing with a group of
people that purchased a house for the sole purpose of
running a business that brought dozens of cars and
people to a local neighborhood on weekends
• Actively investigating other crimes in our City where
certain businesses or residences have a history of
compromising the Quality of Life in Arcadia that
results in criminal activity
