PUBLIC HEARING Consideration of Zone Change (Z -89 -003) to add an "H" (high rise) overlay to the existing CPD -1 zoning designation at 324 N. Second Avenue (Robert & Donald Johnson, owners). 2. PUBLIC HEARING Consideration of Building Code Amendments pertaining to Plan Check fees. ORDINANCE NO. 1914 - For Introduction - Amending Subsection 304(b) of Section 8130.6 in the Building Regulations article of the Arcadia Municipal Code replacing the two level Plan Review and Energy Plan Review fees and providing for future fees to be adopted by City Council resolution. 3. ARA -142, authorizing execution of and approving a Loan Agreement with the City of Arcadia for a loan and appropriation made by the City of Arcadia from the City Facility Construction Fund and General Fund for the acquisition of property, relocation of residents and businesses and capital improvements for redevelopment purposes. d. An application has been filed with the Finance Department for operation of Bingo Games by the Santa Anita Church. This application was filed by the President of the Board of Trustees, Mr. John Hontos on behalf of the Santa Anita Church at 226 W. Colorado Blvd., Arcadia. Santa Anita Church was established in 1948 and opened their location in Arcadia in 1959. The membership population is about 500 and the pastor of Santa Anita Church is Dr. Margaret Stevens. The proposed Bingo games would be played in their Fellowship Hall at the church location. They are requesting this permit to hold Bingo Games for special fund raising events to be scheduled during the year. Bingo would not be played on a regular weekly basis by the applicant. The proceeds from these events will be deposited in a restricted account for charitable purposes only. The Police, Fire and Planning departments have reviewed the information and have no objections to the issuance of the permit. The investigation by the Business License Office indicates that the Santa Anita Church meets the requirements of the Arcadia Municipal Code for the issuance of a Business License to operate Bingo Games. Approved Ge6rge Watts , ft)' Mana4bar F/ Q M NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE ARCADIA CITY COUNCIL NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 3, 1989 at 7:30 PM in the Arcadia City Hall Council Chamber, 240 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, California, a public hearing will be held by and before the City Council on the Application for a business license for the non - profit charitable organization of Santa Anita Church to conduct Bingo Games at the church location, 226 W. Colorado Blvd, Arcadia, California. Bingo will be conducted on scheduled dates during the year. This application has been filed by John Hontos, President of the Board of Trustees of the Santa Anita Church. Proceeds are used for charitable purposes.
