negotiators Dan Cassidy and /or Gary Rogers, regarding negotiations with
all represented and unrepresented employees.

MOTION: Read all Ordinances and Resolutions by title only and waive

7. PUBLIC HEARING
a. Consideration of Proposed Zone Change 97 -001 to add a high rise
overlay to the C -2 zoned property at the Northwest Corner of Huntington
Drive and Second Avenue.
INTRODUCTION - Ordinance No. 2074, An Ordinance of the City
Council of the City of Arcadia, California, amending Sections 3214.4
and 3214.5 of Article III, Chapter 2. Part 1, Division 4 of the Arcadia
Municipal Code relating to parking permit fees (Uniform Traffic Ordinance).

10. CONSENT
a. Minutes of the June 17, 1997 and July 1, 1997 regular meetings.
b. Report and recommendation to award a Professional Services
Agreement to IWA Engineers in the amount of $34,065.00 to provide
engineering services for the design of a 12" waterline replacement on
Huntington Drive, from Holly Avenue to Baldwin Avenue.
c. Report and recommendation to authorize staff to fill (2) two vacant
police officer positions.
ACTION
d. Report and recommendation for authorization to enter into a contract
with Schlumberger Industries, Inc. in the amount of $100,000.00 for the
purchase of water meters.

e. Report and recommendation to award a contract to Best Roofing in the
amount of $42,400.00 for the reroofing of the Fire Department 911
facility, the canopy between City Hall and the Police Department, and
Phase Two of the Service Center Reseal.
a. Report and recommendation to appoint a City Council member to the
Youth Master Plan Steering Committee.
b. 1. Public Meeting to accept public testimony on the Fire Suppression
District.
2. Report and recommendation to authorize the City Manager to cast
the City of Arcadia's ballot for the Fire Suppression District.

cast the Arcadia Redevelopment Agency's ballot for the proposed Fire
Suppression District.
