NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
As authorized by Arcadia City Charter Section 408 and California
Government Code Section 54956, a Special Meeting of the Arcadia City
Council is hereby called to be held at the City of Arcadia Council
Chamber Conference Room, 240 W. Huntington Drive, Arcadia,
California at 530 p.m. on February 15, 2000.
The purpose of this meeting is set forth by the following items of
consideration.
1. Closed session pursuant to Govemment Code Section
54956.9(a) to confer with legal counsel regarding the case
of Wilson v City of Arcadia, et al., United States District
Court Case No. CV99-l O110HLH(Ex).
2. Closed session pursuant to Government Code Section
54956.9(a) to confer with legal counsel regarding the case
of Sully-Miller v Citv of Arcadia, et al. Los Angeles
County Superior Court Case No. BC139380.
There will be time reserved for those in the audience who wish to
address the City Council regarding the above items.
No further business other than the above will be considered at this

of $338,150.30 for the rehabilitation of Arcadia Civic Center Athletic Field and
electrical upgrades and to appropriate an additional $62,702.30 from the Parks
and Recreation Fund to pay for the project.

e. Recommendation to adopt Resolution No. 6162, A Resolution of the City Adopted 5-0
Council of the City of Arcadia, California, declaring that weeds growing upon
and in front of, and brush, rubbish, refuse, and dirt upon and in front of
certain private property within the City are a public nuisance, and declaring
its intention to provide for the abatement thereof. (Public Hearing March 7, 2000)

a. Reconsideration of Resolution No. 6159, A Resolution of the City Council RESCIND 5-0 s
of the City of Arcadia, California, supporting Proposition 12, the Safe - t~no~tion
Neighborhood Parks, Clean Water, Clean Air, and Coastal Protection Bond
Act of 2000.
b. Recommendation to award a Professional Services Agreement to WMM Approved 5-0
Associates for architectural services for a new police facility.
c. Recommendation to adopt Resolution No. 6164, A Resolution of the City Adopted 5-0
Council of the City of Arcadia, California, authorizing the filing of a petition
to the State Water Resources Control Board contesting action taken by the
California Regional Water Quality Controi Board, Los Angeles Region, and
its executive officer in connection with Los Angeles Regional Water Quality
Control Board.
14. CITY ATTORNEY
a. Recommendation to adopt Ordinance No. 2117, An Ordinance of the naogtea s-o
City Council of the City of Arcadia, California, amending and restating in
its entirety Article VI of Chapte.* 4, Division 8 of the Arcadia Municipal Code
pertaining to the regulationof newsracks.
b. Recommendation to adopt revised appendix to the City's Conflict of naopcea s-n
Interest Code.
Resolution No. 6163, A Resolution of the City Council of the City of
Arcadia, California, approving and adopting an amended Appendix to the
Conflict of Interest Code Pursuant to the Political Reform Act of 1974.
