Huntington Drive, Arcadia Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act,persons with a disability who require a disability related modification or accommodation in order to participate in a meeting,including auxiliary aids or services,may request such modification or accommodation from Planning Services at 626-574-5423. Notification 48 hours prior to the meeting will enable the City to make reasonable arrangements to assure accessibility to the meeting. CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL: Sam Faizone, Chairman Dominic Lazzaretto, Committee Member Jason Kruckeberg, Committee Member PUBLIC COMMENTS (5 minute time limit per person) Each speaker is limited to five (5) minutes per person, unless waived by the Modification Committee. Under the Brown Act, the Members are prohibited from discussing or taking action on any items not listed on the posted agenda. PUBLIC HEARING You are hereby advised that should you desire to legally challenge in court any action taken by the Modification Committee regarding any Public Hearing item, you may be limited to raising only those issues and objections you or someone else raised at the public hearing or in written correspondence delivered to the Modification Committee at, or prior to, the public hearing. 1. Healthy Oak Tree Removal Permit Application No. 13-02 1770 Oakwood Ave. Applicant: Jack Ng, Designer PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Removal of a 14-inch healthy California Coast Live Oak tree located along the southerly side yard area of the site as part of a development proposal for a new two-story, 5,657 square foot residence. The Highlands Homeowners' Association's Architectural Review Board has reviewed and approved the architectural design of the proposed residence. ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: Categorically Exempt per Section 15305 of the CEQA Guidelines Class 5 Exemption for minor alterations in land use limitations. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Conditional approval 2. Healthy Oak Tree Removal Permit Application No. TRH 13-03 and Administrative Single-Family Architectural Design Review No. Adm. SFADR 13-33 257 W.Woodruff Ave. Applicant: Mauricio Pensamiento, Designer PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The applicant is requesting the following approvals for a 500 square-foot rear addition to the existing 2,200 square foot, one story, single-family residence: a. To remove two limbs from the existing Southern Live Oak tree to accommodate the new addition (AMC Sec. 9703); b. To allow the new addition to have a 12'-0" rear yard setback in lieu of the minimum 25'-0" required (AMC Sec. 9252.2.4); and c. Design review for the new addition. ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: Categorically Exempt per Section 15305 of the CEQA Guidelines Class 5 Exemption for minor alterations in land use limitations. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Conditional approval APPEAL PERIOD: All decisions made by the Modification Committee may be appealed to the Planning Commission within five (5) working days of the decision. Appeals are to be filed by 5:30 p.m. on September 4, 2013. If no appeal is filed, decisions are final. ADJOURNMENT The Modification Committee will adjourn this meeting to September 10, 2013, at 7:45 a.m. in the City Council Chambers Conference Room,240 W. Huntington Drive,Arcadia. Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the Modification Committee regarding any item on this agenda will be made available for public inspection in the City Clerk's office located et 240 W Huntington Drive,Arcadia, California, during normal business hours.
