Huntington Drive, Arcadia Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act,persons with a disability who require a disability related modification or accommodation in order to participate in a meeting,including auxiliary aids or services,may request such modification or accommodation from Planning Services at 626-574-5423. Notification 48 hours prior to the meeting will enable the City to make reasonable arrangements to assure accessibility to the meeting. CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL: Sam Faizone, Chairman Dominic Lazzaretto, Committee Member Jason Kruckeberg,Committee Member PUBLIC COMMENTS (5 minute time limit per person) Each speaker is limited to five (5) minutes per person, unless waived by the Modification Committee. Under the Brown Act, the Members are prohibited from discussing or taking action on any items not listed on the posted agenda. PUBLIC HEARING You are hereby advised that should you desire to legally challenge in court any action taken by the Modification Committee regarding any Public Hearing item, you may be limited to raising only those issues and objections you or someone else raised at the public hearing or in written correspondence delivered to the Modification Committee at, or prior to,the public hearing. 1. Modification Application No. MC 13-18 and Single-Family Architectural Design Review No. SF ADR 13-48 136 W. Sandra Ave. Applicant: Felicia Fan of JWL Associates, Designer on behalf of Mrs.Yueh Yu, Property owner PROJECT DESCRIPTION: To permit the following Modifications and Single-Family Architectural Design Review for a 1,171 square foot, one story addition to an existing 2,749 square foot, one story, single-family residence: 1. A 23'-0"to 24'-0"front yard setback in lieu of 25'-0" required (Sec. 9252.2.2); and 2. A 5'-2" easterly side yard setback in lieu of minimum 8'-3" required (Sec. 9252.2.3). (Applicant has requested a continuance to September 24, 2013.) ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: Categorically Exempt per Section 15305 of the CEQA Guidelines Class 5 Exemption for minor alterations in land use limitations. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Continue to September 24, 2013 2. Modification Application No. MC 13-19 1103 Columbia Rd. Applicant: Linda K. Brady, Property Owner PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A Zoning Modification to allow a 12'-3° easterly street-side yard setback in lieu of 20'-0° required for a 382 square foot, one-story addition to an existing 1,500 square foot,one-story residence (Sec. 9252.2.3.1). The Santa Anita Village Homeowners' Association's Architectural Review Board has reviewed and approved the architectural design of the proposed addition. ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: Categorically Exempt per Section 15305 of the CEQA Guidelines Class 5 Exemption for minor alterations in land use limitations. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approval APPEAL PERIOD: AU decisions made by the Modification Committee may be appealed to the Planning Commission within five (5) working days of the decision. Appeals are to be filed by 5:30 p.m. on September 17, 2013. If no appeal is filed, decisions are final. ADJOURNMENT The Modification Committee will adjourn this meeting to September 24, 2013, at 7:45 a.m. in the City Council Chambers Conference Room,240 W. Huntington Drive,Arcadia. Any writings or documents provided to a majonty of the Modification Committee regarding any item on this agenda will be made available for public inspection in the City Clerk's office located at 240 W. Huntington Drive,Arcadia, California, during normal business hours.
