Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, persons with a disability who require a disability related modification or accommodation
in order to participate in a meeting, including auxiliary aids or services,may request such modification or accommodation from Planning
Services at 626-574-5423. Notification 48 hours prior to the meeting will enable the City to make reasonable arrangements to assure
accessibility to the meeting.

PUBLIC COMMENTS (5 minute time limit per person)
Each speaker is limited to five (5) minutes per person, unless waived by the Modification
Committee. Under the Brown Act, the Members are prohibited from discussing or taking action
on any items not listed on the posted agenda.
PUBLIC HEARING
You are hereby advised that should you desire to legally challenge in court any action taken by
the Modification Committee regarding any Public Hearing item, you may be limited to raising only
those issues and objections you or someone else raised at the public hearing or in written
correspondence delivered to the Modification Committee at, or prior to, the public hearing.
1. Modification Application No. MC 13-20 and Single-Family Architectural Design
Review No. SF ADR 13-89

Applicant: Gaetano D'Aquino, Property Owner
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: To allow the following Zoning Modifications and Architectural
Design Review to the existing 1,810 square-foot, two-story, single-family residence that is
located on a corner lot:
1. A street side yard setback of 20'-0" in lieu of 25'-0" required for a 539 square foot,
one-story addition to the existing residence and to allow the proposed addition to
encroach within the minimum 30'-0" special setback required on Lovell Avenue
(AMC Secs. 9252.2.3.2 and 9320.53.2); and,
2. A street side yard setback of 26'-10" in lieu of the minimum 30'-0" special setback
required on Lovell Avenue for a new 336 square foot, second-story addition (AMC
Sec. 9320.53.2).
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: Categorically Exempt per Section 15305 of the CEQA
Guidelines Class 5 Exemption for minor alterations in land use limitations.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approval
Approved. 3-0
APPEAL PERIOD: All decisions made by the Modification Committee may be appealed to
the Planning Commission within five (5) working days of the decision. Appeals are to be
filed by 5:30 p.m. on December 5, 2013. If no appeal is filed, decisions are final.
ADJOURNMENT
The Modification Committee will adjourn this meeting to December 10, 2013, at 7:45 a.m. in the
City Council Chambers Conference Room, 240 W. Huntington Drive, Arcadia.
Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the Modification Committee regarding any item on this agenda will
be made available for public inspection in the City Clerk's office located at 240 W Huntington Drive,Arcadia, California,
during normal business hours.
