SUMMARY
It is recommended the City Council authorize and direct the City Manager to execute a
one year extension to the Professional Services Agreement ( "Agreement ") with
Southland Sports Officials to provide basketball officials for youth and adult basketball
leagues from July 1, 2014, through June 30, 2015. On July 1, 2012, the City executed
an Agreement with Southland Sports Officials to provide basketball officials for youth
and adult basketball leagues through June 30, 2013. The Agreement was executed
with an amount not to exceed $35,000 and included an option for three (3) one -year
renewal periods thereafter, at the City's discretion. Approval of this agenda item would
extend the Agreement for one year to June 30, 2015. This would be the second of the
three possible extensions.
