July 19, 1988
MOTION: Read all ordinances and resolutions by
title only and waive reading in full.
PRESENTATION of plaque to Margo Crumley, outgoing
member of the Arcadia Beautiful Commission
PRESENTATION of plaque to Sherry Root, outgoing
member of the Library Board
PRESENTATION of plaque to Dr. Phil Attalla, outgoing
member of the Senior Citizens' Commission
1. PUBLIC HEARING
Confirmation of weed abatement charges as prepared
by the County Agricultural Commissioner.
2. PUBLIC HEARING
Consideration of Z -88 -003 (previously referred
to as Z -88 -001), a zone change from R -2 (medium
density multiple - family zone) to R -1 (second
one - family zone) at 661 W. Camino Real and
1425 -1441 Melanie Lane.
3. PUBLIC HEARING
Consideration of T.A. 88 -002, a text amendment
requiring a Conditional Use Permit for retail
businesses adjacent to residentially -zoned

property selling liquor for off - premise consumption,
and retail businesses selling goods and products
to the public on a walk -in basis which are open
more than sixteen (16) hours per day, or which are
open to the public any time between 12:00 midnight
and 6:00 a.m. This text amendment will also
establish restrictions pertaining to said retail
businesses.
4. Time reserved for those in the audience who wish
to address the City Council (five- minute time
limit per person).

a. ORDINANCE NO. 1889 - For Adoption - authorizing
establishment of Homeowner Associations for
application of the Architectural Design zone,
and further authorizing promulgation of
formation criteria by resolution.
b. ORDINANCE NO. 1891 - For Introduction -
amending Ordinance No. 1407 changing the
membership of the Arcadia Beautiful
Commission from eleven (11) members to
seven (7) members.
C. RESOLUTION NO. 5430, requesting an allocation
of County Aid to Cities funds for the main -
onance of traffic signals on select system
streets.
